Collection: Ewing Feathers
During that time, Jerry & Doug raised mostly white and grizzly birds providing customers with feathers that fit the market during that time. As time went on, Jerry gradually stepped away only helping as needed and Doug took over. The line of feather birds has produced some of the finest feathers for more specific regions, but didn't expand much beyond their original line.
In 2015, Cole, the third generation, began making his way into the family business and was ready to take the lead and put his own twist on the current business. As a young entrepreneur, Cole wanted to make the jump and expand upon their existing products. In 2021, Ewing's purchased a small genetic flock from Alvin Theriault out of Northern Maine.
In 2024, Ewing's expanded yet again by purchasing the Root River Hackle line. Both purchases of new birds were in order to develop and expand a better dry fly line of hackle. Again, to serve customers with every need.
