The hair runs 3–4 inches in the usable section, with most tails pushing well past 12 inches overall, which is exactly what you want for flatwings, deceivers, and long-profile predators. The fibres are straight, strong, and naturally tapered, not fluffy rubbish. That gives you controlled movement, clean layering, and a fly that swims instead of collapsing.

Being proper American bucktail, the hair has the right stiffness-to-flex balance. It flares when you want it to, stays slim when stacked, and doesn’t foul like soft farmed substitutes.
